Once upon a time, there was an alien race known as the Bane. They wanted to enslave the population of Earth, so they made a completely organic soft drink, Bubble Shock(!), with a completely organic alien component that would enable the Bane to control those who ingested it. Only it didn't work on 2% of the population, so they needed to bring their numbers up to 100% success. In order to do this, they created a human archetype to test and fix their drink on.

Only he woke up, and the Bane's plan went rather downhill from there. The archetype was found by Maria Jackson, and, with the help of Sarah Jane Smith and Maria Jackson, eventually defeated his creaters and saved the planet. Sarah Jane Smith gave the archetype a name- Luke- and adopted him. Together with Maria Jackson and later Clyde Langer, Luke and Sarah Jane Smith save the planet from alien forces.
